Every year, we strive to make VBS a smoother, more welcoming event. This is how VBS will look for 2026.
Our theme is Wonder Junction. It highlights the life of Jesus from His birth to resurrection.
Our start time is 5:30. As a volunteer, your call time may be earlier!
We will start as a large group to then break into 4 stations. STEM, Craft, Recreation, Bible. These stations are 15 minutes long.
During opening and closing, there will be songs, skits, activities, and more!
As a volunteer, we ask that you consider the following prior to registering. VBS has the opportunity to shine Jesus' light to all kids - this means we require our volunteers to sign a wavier stating that they will uphold these values. We understand this can be a long week and a LOT of hard work. Please know that hard work IS what you'd be signing up for! It is so much fun, but also is a big commitment. Make sure you can uphold that commitment!
Adult Sizing - you may need a shirt for your role!
If you are in drama, please list your shirt size, pant size, shoe size, and dress size (if you're a girl!)
Please read the following to determine where you can best serve at VBS! Select as many roles as you are interested in. Be aware that you might not get your first pick and may be placed where we think is the best fit for you for this years program! Make sure to carefully read through each description prior to selecting as there are age and skill requirements
This role is leading a set group of students everyday, taking them from station to station! Must be over 18. Must be at VBS everyday. Able to communicate with kids and parents well. Able and willing to participate in all stations and activities with the kids. Responsible, reliable, good with kids!
This role is assisting the team lead and being with a set group of students everyday, taking them from station to station! Must be over 6th grade. Must be at VBS everyday. Willing and able to take direction from team leader. Good with kids, able to play and participate in any stations.
This role requires acting in front of a crowd, learning and memorizing lines, attending a few small rehearsals, and being at VBS on the day/s of your performances. You can have a small or large role!
This role requires learning several songs and the actions to go along with them. A few rehearsals are required. Stage presence is a must!
This role requires experience in tech and sound as well as comfortability with music technician. You must be at tech rehearsal for music and skits!
This role requires you to be 18 or older, great with kids ages 0-2! You will be in the nursery from 6-8, entertaining kids, taking care of diapers/feeding, etc. Must be at VBS everyday!
Assisting in the Nursery Leader in anyway. Great with babies, responsible, ready to help with whatever needed. Needed in the nursery from 6pm-8pm
Prep and organize crafts for each day and lead the kids through the craft
Assist Craft Lead on anything they may need. Help kids make and create the crafts as well.
Prep, lead, and organize STEM activities. This would include science experiments, hands on activities, projects, etc. Must be over 18. You must have some STEM experience/knowledge!
Assist STEM Lead on whatever they might need. Must have some experience/knowledge in the STEM field.
Prep, teach, and organize each game/activity for the kids. Play with them!!! Must be over 18 with the ability to lead, speak loudly, and have the physical ability to run around and participate with them.
Assist Recreational Lead on whatever they need. Needs the ability to speak loudly, lead group games, and have the physical ability to play with them
Must be able to work on their lessons prior to VBS, spending plenty of time in the word, working through each lesson and making it your own. So make sure you would have enough prep time! Must be over 18 with experience in public speaking. Must be comfortable answering questions and teaching all age groups.
Assist the Bible Lead in whatever they may need
Snack will be during Bible Time this year. You would be responsible for prepping snacks and serving them to each kid quietly during the station time. After, you would be responsible for cleaning up wrappers/plates/cups/etc
You would be responsible for checking students in for VBS and directing them to where they need to go. You must be on time/early for this role and have the ability to spell and write legibly
